Outport Echo - Mediating the Area

As part of the Inishowen Walking Festival 2025, participants joined visual artist Martina O’Brien on Outport Echo - Mediating the Area Art Walk which started from Artlink’s Headquarters in Fort Dunree, Co. Donegal. During the walk, Martina shared an overview of her interdisciplinary art practice, exploring her engagement with scientific, technological, and governance concerning the marine environment. As part of the event, the artist was joined by historian John McCarron to further unpack questions of cultural memory and place-based knowledge.
